Hi all, got the same problem here with my elm cable and paid version of multiscan, it won't connect to the airbag ecu on an Alfa 159. It's different to the other circuit boards I could see on this thread that have had an answer (re removing resistor etc) so could someone point me in the right direction as to the modification of this board please, it's the same one as this guy has.
Thank you
inotalas wrote:Hi all, first of all congratulations to this community, there's a lot of very useful information.

I'm writing here because I bought an ELM 327 adaptor and I can't connect to a Fiat Marea JTD 105 '01 ECU. The test on MES are correct and the interface returns every command with OK but it can't connect to ECU.

Looking the first post I see that my interface have another PCB design and I don't know where to start to solve the problem. If someone can help me, see pictures attached below.

Hi all,

I'm currently facing a steering issue on a punto Mk2 1,3 multijet, i cannot access to steering modul (engine modul works fine, using multiecuscan)
Hereafter pictures of the OBD cable i'm using, seems close to betyargabor (page 36) and fiatbravoemotion (page 38)
it's 2012-02-06 b1uwOBD V1.6

can you confirm that if i remove R04 i will be able to read ABS and steering modul ?

Hello

This has already been described many times here
In order to read the steering on the Alfa 159 has to be removed this bridge resistance.
If, yes, if the ELM is compatible with MES.

To read the ABS on Alfa 159, the resistor has no function
equals Whether inside or removed

For the ABS the green adapter.

Did you take a look at my response to your post of July 10 in the "General" section?
I think you should.

What car do you have, what kind of problem(s) are you experiencing, can you connect to the engine ECU?
The resistor in question is clearly visible in the 2nd picture in your post right above pins 6 and 7 of the MCP2551 (it looks like 120 ohms). Follow the procedure detailed in one of my previous posts. Remember that removing this resistor is worthless if your interface does not connect as it is to the Engine ECU.
Take care
