can't connect to airbag via pin3

Hi Again.

Went by a great Alfa shop at Amager near Copenhagen (Car Center) they read the fault, reset the light and printed a report for my in less than 5 minutes. Problem is periodical fail on the drivers seat-belt tightener. And they didn't even charge my PERFECT. Car Center at Amager THANK YOU.

By the way I also hare tried AlfaDIAG without any luck.

Solution update to a new ecu system from 2003. Regards

not really a soloution though, at least a pretty expensive one

But a Fiat shop can reset that ECU, right ?

For the Alfa 159 no adapter is needed.
Because when the airbag 159 is read via CAN bus.

So with the KKL interface is not
Only with an ELM or OBDkey is possible to read

thanks for the reply eddie. i think the problem is with my interface and the bridging resistor...
although i purchased v1.5 ELM to prevent this, they are still having issues??

update, before undoing ym interface, i want to confirm,
i have checked the resistance between pin 6 and 14, and i get a reading of 1.01 k Ohm

is this good enough?
it is a much higher resistance then the 120 Ohm that was on some of the interfaces

The resistance of ~ 1 kOhm is ok

Can you connect to the engine ECU or ABS?
this is read via another protocol

or
you can connect to the CAN setup, Body Comp. ; Air et al produce?

I think first time to your settings.
