The information you require is on this page:

http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx

Find your vehicle(s) and see which adapters (if any) are required.

The MES software will also tell which adapter (if any) is required when you select the unit/module you wish to connect to.

Hi All,

I spent last Sunday trying to figure out why I can't connect to can based modules in Alfa-Romeo Giulietta. Engine ECU worked just fine, but I couldn't connect to Body, Service and other CAN based modules.

I noticed that many people land on this page looking for solution, but @kris post is very misleading, you don't need to remove any resistor in this version of ELM327, it's ready to work with CAN modules.

In my case the problem was that Alfa Giulietta has CAN on pins 1,9 instead of standard 6,14, therefore MultiEcuScan warns you to plug yellow adapter no.3 which 're-route' pins accordingly.
I solve that by installing mini-switch in my ELM which lets me change CAN pins between 6,14 and 1,9. Now with this MOD I can connect to all modules without any problem.

Similar MOD is described here:
https://topscantool.com/modify-mscan-el ... rscan.html

If you can't connect to any modules check your drivers first. You should have USB-COM port available in device manager and it should be available for selection in MultiEcuScan under Settings -> Interface TAB.

You can try to scan for interfaces in your multicuscan software first. Once an interface has been found you should be ok to connect. I hope this helps.
