I have the same problem but with a different ELM327 (with USB port and version 1.5)
It gives me timeout error at ATSPC command.

I've removed the 120 ohm resistor between pin 6 and 14 but the same error appears.
Also tried a lot of combination with port speed: the only one that works until ATSPC command error is 38400 baud, all the other one gives me timeout error even at the first command (ATZ).

And what makes me angry is that this ELM 327 was suggested to me by an user in this thread.
I'm really tired of spending money for something that will work with everything (ScanTool, ELM Scanner, etc etc) except MultiEcuScan, this is the only software that gives me problems.
I've also spent money for the cable adapter (which gives you the ability to work with different ecu), to enable the fog light in my grande punto, but considering the time and the money spent, I don't know if I will risk buying another ELM.

Sorry but I'm really frustrated.

Hello Eddy , thank you for answering the topic.
I am using the manufacturer's driver http://www.silabs.com/products/interfac ... spx#cp210x to Windows 8, the Windows device settings option not appear to change the latency , as shown in attachment.
What can be ?
Happy New Year to you.

Hello Vagne

Also a Happy New Year for you

For your USB chip you need this driver
http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Page ... ivers.aspx

And imagine the Latency Time to 1 (14)

And try again

Hello ILN

For ELM interface with version v2.1
there is no chance to produce a compound with MES

Buy yourself another interface

Greeting Eddy

I apologize for the delay in responding.
The driver I had already downloaded this link you sent, you made the adjustments mentioned, I did not get success, still can not access the CAN network, only engine and transmission are accessed.
I do not know what else to do, is it a problem with this scanner, maybe the chip? you have news that some Silabs chip worked into the scanner? and because I do not have that fuller screen where you are setting latency? I have done tests on Windows 7 and XP, and all screens are identical to Windows 8, I believe it is not he the problem.
Thanks anyway for the help so far. If you have any idea please pass me.

Hi everyone,

I have purchased Bluetooth ELM327 v1.5 interface and as it is common here - it doesn't work. I have dissembled it and took photos of the layout. I barely can see which resistor should be removed or changed to make it work. I see that I have BK3231Q + MCP2515 + TJA1050 chips. Does anyone have an idea, what could be done to make it work because the layout differs from others and I could not state where is the problem.
