FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Norbert
It has been repeatedly described here
you may not use any a driver or CD driver.
They do occasionally problems
Charging you here the driver guide (2:10:00) and install it.
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
Then check all the settings that need to be made.
A connection to the ECU needs of your Stilo without removing
be the bridge resistance possible.
That's Resistor is to remove Dash board service, proxy, etc. necessary
Greeting Eddy

Where do you install the FTDI driver? Update driver for the Port (Serial to Bluetooth etc)?

thanks for your help! I will download the driver and try it again! But I would like to use the ELM327 to handle service interval on my car - for other things (engine, ABS, Airbag) I use VAGCOM cable. In this case I should remove the resistor?
Tanks,
Norbert

Hello
This is just a example,
However, the connection failure may be due to other settings
These settings have been described over a hundred times.
Only the link failure to the ECU of the Stilo has nothing to do with a bridge resistance in the ELM interface.

Ok, thanks. I thought because of the "LOOSE CONNECTION, CAR SECURITY etc." message from STILO ECU and other faults on dashboard that this is not a driver/connection problem - but if you tell me with the mentioned driver will be ok, I believe it, and try it!

Hello
What I had forgotten to write.
Your mistake with the remote control has nothing to do with reading.
The software (MES) can not access this control

My remote control not working only while this ELM327 failure. Before and after (ECU reset) there was not problem with this - I think it was because of the temporary failure of the ECU...

Hello
The remote control is not integrated in engine control unit
this is separately

I think coincidental but try another connection and see if the fault happens again...
