Sorry for busting this topic.
But is it possible to make the same modification to an obdII (ELM327) cable?

I havn't even tried it, but MES still asks for the green adapter for climate controle ecu for example.

Yes you can put switches on your ELM on pins for ABS, steering, XENON, climate...
Just do not put on pin 3 (airbag). That is not a good combination...

Is the right interface for Fiat Bravo 2008, 1.9, 110kw with which engine, climate, airbags, etc. as well as monitor the parameters and erase mistakes can work? Is there something similar in Bluetooth version?

Problem solved !!

My 3 pin adapter connects chassis ground (battery negative) to pin 5 of female OBDC conector, but KKL Vag-com needs this connection to pin 4 (5 is idle). So, I made the bridge like follows:

Now, everything is working fine. So, if you must use this combination of cable adapter/KKL Vag-com interface be carefull about this pinnage issue.

my car is alfa 159/2011/2.0/100kw

when i tried to connect to ecu i get message that i need elm237 adapter....
this is my obd cable vag kkl...red dot is pin 4 and 5

And what is your question?

By KKL interface you can create your Alfa without modifiktation connect to the engine ECU


For all other controllers you need an ELM interface and corresponding adapter cable

Guys, did i mess up bigtime by connecting a modified (none switchable) kkl cable to a vw golf?

By this I guess you mean where Pin 7 is connected to the other pins.

I wouldn't know for sure. The other OBDII pins support different connection protocols. In Fiat/Alfa cases Fiat only use the K-Lines and the CAN lines. The others seemed to get used for convenience connection but still use K-Line hence the mods to connect Pin 7 to others.

What/how VW have done I do not know.

For reference the OBDII connections are as follows:

OBDII Standard

Skt 5 = GND (signal)

The unswitched modified KKL/Adapter 1 (Green) would connect Pin 7 to 1, 7, 9, 12.

As you can see 1, 9, and 12 are not used as far as OBDII is concerned. What VW have done with 1, 9 and 12? pass. I would have thought though that it is unlikely VW would have overlook the possibility of damage due to crossed/link connection (except for power and ground connections).

In the mean time I got my awnser. Got a new kkl cable and all is working, I can connect and reset the VW Golf. So no permanent damage has been done due to shorting pin 7 with the other ones used on Fiat/Alfa/Lancia.

I could install the driver for the switchable kkl, the kkl can be seen in the control panel and Multiecuscan,
Also I can connect to the engine ECU
BUT I can't connect to the airbag,
Do my questions :
1- what is the correct serial port settings other than latency speed set to 1
To connect to Airbag
2- what is the use of the fourth switch xenon
3- is it possible to connect to the climate control ECU?

My info : Windows 7 64 bit
Fiat marea 2001- 1242cc -16 v
