Hello
Your problem is not the 120 ohm resistor
For thine Panda will not be read with the CAN bus protocol engine
If you get no connection with your Panda 1996 is this
to the settings or the wrong driver
'll try this driver!
http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm
possibly, is also your motor control is not supported by MES.
But I do not know exactly
Check the first time the driver and settings.
Greetings Eddy

Thanks for the info. I'll try to download the other driver (although I'm only basic in computer stuff...)
But we have a Fiat Idea 1.3jtd and a Brava 1.2 petrol in the family too. I checked on the Brava and that one has the 16 pin connector like on the ELM327. Should I remove the mentioned 121 ohm resistor in order to connect to those more recent Fiats ? As you can see on the picture (see my previous mail) this ELM seems quite updated, with two different circuit"clocks" (I think that is what the silver boxes 4000 and 12000 are?), also the LEDs are SMD, and no more the "big" ones. But the 121 ohm resistor is still present.

Hello Svene
The red marked resistor is responsible for the CAN Bus Problem
remove this and your ELM can read logs with MES also CAN bus.
What control to which vehicle you would like to read and write?

Hello
Are you sure the "Torque" can read your Volvo?
And here described here applies only to Multiecuscan
Out of Torque
You have another problem, not the resistor

Hi jj747
Which program is compatible with Torque?
You mean the interface?
I'll also want to just tell it this problem with the bridge resistance
does not occur in torque.
Therefore, you would not have to open your ELM
