Hi Matees

Have now found after some searching but still a circuit diagram

In the fuse box in the footwell of the driver side fuses F49 + F50 are for the airbag

Are both OK?

Greetings Eddy

It seems to be fuse F50 in the dashboard. All fuses were checked. It has to be something else...

F49 is ok too, because there is for example start/stop button. I am relly in the end of ideas. Do you think, that airbag unit is all right? I think, that it was changed after small accident in the past. Is it needed to do anything after changing airbag ecu? But strange is,that diagnostic softwares connected to this ecu.

Hello Matees

You had a (small) accident ??
Of which you had but nothing written here
Why not ??

It may be that needs to be reseted your airbag control unit

So either an Alfa dealer to see if the Examiner can read more.
Or bring the control unit to a control device repair service.
Whether that can detect a fault

Hi Eddy,
I don't have an accident, but I think, that previous owner had one, because front bumper was changed.
So it is needed to configure it on some Examiner after an accident or it another airbag ecu is bought? So do you think, that the ecu is not wrong, but only need a configuration? Is it possible to do it with elm327 or kkl cable to save money for special service?

Hi Matees

A possible accident must be reset in the airbag control unit.

This is not possible with MES or the Examiner, for which one requires a programmer (Carprog or other)

I would try it in a repair service for airbag control units.
Or a control device used by the dealer (with warranty) attempt.

The KKL interface, you can do anything with your airbag control unit

And is it normal, that airbag ecu is connected via MES, but without errors? I thought, that after accident, airbag ecu must write some information about that.

..............
Really!
My car is 2002 and airbag's "Date of programming" is 2006.

Errors ar errors (kkkk), also called Diagnostic Trouble Codes (according an appropriate table read by MES) and (I think) an airbag deployment is not necessarily an error.

Hello Matees

This I actually thought also, so my first guess after the backup or the cable connection

Code: Select all

Errors ar errors (kkkk), also called Diagnostic Trouble Codes (according an appropriate table read by MES) and (I think) an airbag deployment is not necessarily an error.
And Walter was this indeed suspected :D

I was in one local service yesterday. They told me, that my airbag unit is wrong - that somone probably tried to modified software. Best solution is find another older unit and reset it. So I'm searching...
