Connection failed

Good morning.
I have a problem with my connection elm327 (v1.5a).
I connect easily to the engine ECU, but I do
having trouble connecting to the module board computer
or the service module, I receive an error message
"connection failed check interface and serial port interface." my
configuration windows 7, elm327 v1.5a, Fiat Bravo 2
mtjet1, 6 Fap. I changed the port settings as
recommended in the section "how to use", but this
not work.
Does someone could help me?

have a look at this thread mate i had exactly the same thing with mine...

in the end i had to remove a resistor r04 however you may not have the same elm cable as me...but there are a few listed in the thread

Thank you for your answer, although my interface is not
the same model that I have found your information
in the link provided. After removal of the resistance
R04 I access service module to easily reset.
