Hi,
I just bought this program yesterday, and am very pleased. Well done!
I have a '02 Alfa 147 and i cannot communicate with the dash panel.
I have a ELM 1.5 and have done the mod to the CAN resistor.
Every other system communicates fine. But, when trying the dash, it returns the error ELM->ECU failed, as i said, it works fine on all other systems??
Ive tried lowering the baud speed also...
Any ideas?
Cheers!!

Re: Alfa 147 no comm with dashboard
the Chineses ELM 1.5 interfaces usually have ELM 1.2 software inside and are not capable of communicating with Fiat, Alfa or Lancia CAN network.
Did you try the "Test" function in Settings. It will tell you if the ELM software inside the interface is old version.

Re: Alfa 147 no comm with dashboard
I heard of cases when the mileage of the dash was altered they couldn't connect to it. (This i heard from a Renault mechanic not sure if it's also true for Alfa)
no pain, no gain
Re: Alfa 147 no comm with dashboard
Ok, so the interface works fine.
However, the instrument cluster of Alfa 147 is not supported by Multiecuscan yet. How did you try to connect to it?

Re: Alfa 147 no comm with dashboard
I selected:
Alfa
-> Alfa 147 2.0 TS 16v
-> Dashboard
-> Marelli Connect
The ELM communicates with all other CAN networks fine.
Thanks Yani
