Request for Help with a1994 Lancia Dedra 2.0ie

Hello to you all,

I am new to ECU diagnostics and request some help and assistance. What do I need to be able to read/reset and do diagnostics on my Lancia Dedra 2.0ie 8 valve twin cam engine ECU registered in 1993/4? The Support list does not seem to list my car. What interface cable is needed and software to do diagnostics from a laptop PC?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I think that FES software is not working with your car...
Your car is not listed in the "Supported Vehicles List" yet!

But if you deicide to try FES with your Dedra you gonna need a VAG COM KKL 409.1 cable (interface)...

Thank you Alphasarajevo for you advice regarding the cable type. However, still need some advice regarding software to use and how to connect up my laptop running XP to the ECU on my Dedra for engine diagnostics. Found this website http://www.nailed-barnacle.co.uk/coupe/ ... rtrek.html that has software for Marelli ECUs 16v/vt. Still not really suitable as only for 16valve fiat engines.

Anyone know how to write software for these older ECUs. Any advice would be appreciated, can Yani comment and or help as I'm able to write and program windows computers but need some guidance here. Would be prepared to help Yani add other engine types to his software FOC. A reply from Yani would be very much appreciated.
