This is about airbags. I have a modified K-line interface with a 4-way DIL switch, all separated. Now this cable has worked like a dream on my Stilo long before FES became official. Great software by the way. My friend's also got an 1.6 Stilo (which I also have) but I can't connect to his airbag system. We can connect to all the other ECUs/nodes and erased codes from the main ECU, and the EPS. We also checked the ABS and ESP successfully. But it was impossible to connect to his airbag system. The 3 other switches was turned off, and the airbag switch was turned on on the cable/interface. We tried connecting to my car's airbag, and that was success after 2 seconds. But still, no connection to his airbag. He's also got 8 airbags, the car's from 2002 as mine is, so the system should be exactly the same. The only difference between our cars is that he's got ESP, reverse sensors, skyroof (or whatever it's called), electric rear windows (5-door version, as mine) and some fancy automatic lights (which is useless as we have to have lights on by law here).
Any ideas? I haven't upgraded since version 2.1, but why does it work on my Stilo and not his?

I found on the punto that I was trying to diagnose
that either the socket was faulty or poor earths
were causing lost data transmission.
