I did this procedure on my stilo selespeed many months ago with Vagcom cable.

It seemed to work fine. Gave me a 00. But My problem was solved (very small judders). The values changed, both the index and the push rod distance.

1st gear for 300 meters at 25% throttle.

I tried it again about a month ago, but with ELM cable. Test finished with Error 0F. I couldn't find error 0F on the error list I have.

- Which procedure did you follow? also with key off or did you just pressed execute and take off?
- How many times did you tried this?
- Did the values changed much or slightly?

followed the on screen instructions to the letter.

The push rod value changed slightly from 15.400 to 15.700 millimetres. Before I didn't have a degradation index value and after the test I did. It showed 6000 or something.

I tried it about 2 times.

My ecu has a little problem when I connect multiecuscan. After a few minutes (or less) I have a loose connection error.

Spyshagg,

Can you look up something for me? if you connect to the engine ECU in FES there is a parameter in the list (almost at the bottom) that is named 'Automatic transmission' mine says manual what does yours say?

People,

i found more information about the calibration procedures, i edited my previous post with the correct procedures and requirements. I'll post them here again;

Requirements
- Engine coolant temp > 80 degr. celcius
- Clutch temp between 20 - 150 degr. celcius
- No errors in engine ECU
- No errors in Selespeed ECU

Procedure sequence
- 2x Clutch bleed
- Enable clutch self calibration or calculate degradation index
- EOL service

Calculate degradation index

1) Put key on MAR,
2) Connect with FES to selespeed ECU,
3) Choose 'calculate degredation index' and press 'execute',
4) switch key to STOP (connection with FES is terminated but this is OK),
5) switch key to MAR and start the engine,
6) set gearbox in 2nd gear (manual),
7) pull up gentle and accelerate in 2nd gear till you reach 3000rpm,
8) brake and stop the car,
9) switch key STOP,
10) switch key to MAR,
11) connect FES to selespeed ECU and check the 'Clutch degredation index' in the parameter section.

You see that the degredation index 'll now be calculated and a different number 'll appear.

Enable clutch self calibration
The 'enable clutch self calibration' option has a different approach. follow this procedure;

1) Key in MAR engine off.
2) Press execute
3) Start engine
4) Wait for 10 seconds, then turn key to stop
5) Turn key to MAR directly after the stop

Some other diagnostic tools note that this procedure must be repeated 5 times. I don`t know for sure if this is true but i think it is worth mentioning.

I ask you again to change this in FES program as other users 'll ask this question again!

Hi Entonox

What kind of interface do you use??? KKL or ELM327? ;)

I'll check it out in a few days when I reset service warning.

I'm a bit afraid of doing more tests to the selespeed because my 2nd to 3rd gear change is making a clunking noise. I heard EOL calibration is very hard on the gearbox :\

I have both ELM and KKL interfaces, but i used the ELM interface.

Hi,

the Clutch self calibration works fine!!! After running the function, a driving test must be done!
In 2nd gear accelerate to 3000 rpm, then brake and stop the car.

I think most people misunderstand the function!

It does not replace the manual adjustment of clutch!!! This function is for the fine tuning between clutch position and clutch reference position and regulating the pressure in clutch valve.

To setup the clutch correctly, adjust manually to 28,00 - 28,50mm (2.0TS / JTS Selespeeds and the most Fiat) and ready! After this you can run the self calibration of clutch... not been previously!

If you have questions about selespeed, write me. (Info@selespeed.de or use www.support.selespeed.de)

best regards

Belli,

The Fiat selespeed models can not be adjusted by hand, because they have a hydraulic actuator instead of a mechanical actuator (which are in the alfa`s).
