Getting the correct VAG cable.

Post by Paul#25 »

Hi All

I am new to this great site and still finding my way around.
My question regarding the cable for the connection is as follows:
The VAG KKL cables that I have been able to locate on the Net all seem to be for VW/Audi and Seat, i.e., USB Cable KKL 409.1 VW/Audi OBD2 OBD USB VAG COM 409. Is this the right cable for my 2004 Fiat Stilo 1.9Jtd Multiwagon as I am in South Africa and do not want to buy the incorrect cable and not be able to return it.

Regards

Hello m8
At first you check this:http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx to see what cable you need for your car and after you can make an idea.To be able to check all modules in your car you need two cable how I see.Even so for KKL cable you need to made some modification.
Finally : Yes that is the right cable but how I told you for complete diagnose you need more than KKL cable.Better you check all sections of this forum to be clear for you all the aspects.
Good luck!!!!
