Mistakebly information in changing KKL-interface

Post by Jason77 »

Hi!

Today i wanted to change my KKL-interface to be able to connect to the airbag-ecu of my Punto 188.

As far as good, connection works properly.

But because it was necessary to solder wires inside the KKL-Interface anyway, I also wanted to do the changes to be able to connect to ABS and Powersteering.

In the instruction "how to use" is written to connect PIN9 (with PIN7). But if I watch the picture above the text (http://www.multiecuscan.net/images/Photo003s.jpg),
I can see that PIN 11 is connected.

So I´m not sure what is right.... the picture or the text or both? Just don´t want to damage something.

Does anybody know which connection is right?

Thank you very much,

Jan

You certainlly got right.
It is a mistake in the picture.
You can soldering all that pis tegether: 1,7 and 9 and using a switch to separate pin 3.
Or you can make a multiplexor useing a DIP Switch to separate all that pins.
Take a look

Hi ,

thank you for the fast answer !

I integrated a small swich into the case, but only because I had no DIP´s at home ... your solution of course is the better one!

You´re from Bucuresti? Maybe see you there tomorrow, I´m working in Romania/ Bucuresti at the moment :-)

Multumesc si seara placuta,

Jan

HELLO !

I have one question about that.
I will like to use KKL VAG usb interface with multiecuscan.

Do i have to solder a short wire to 1,7,9, pin ?
Is it working (abs, airbag) without soldering a short wire ?

Please answer me.

THANK you !
