Post by tzok »

Any chance for support for Grande Punto 1.3MJ 90HP (Marelli 6F3.PB)? If so, then approximately when?

Hi,

Well, I'm not sure about the Grande Punto support. The problem is that Grande Punto, Punto Evo, 500 and Mito use different CAN protocol for diagnostics. I have not implemented this protocol yet. I did some work but it is not completed... and now I don't even have a test vehicle as my friend sold his Punto. I will definitely not be able to include this in the next release.

i don't think that will be a problem to you for testing.
I think a lot of guys from this forum can test your softwear and send you the review of it.
If you like I can do that for you. Absolutely for free and I don't want anything back.
I want to help you because you do a great job.
That's all

That's a bad news for me :( I've already bought ELM237 interface, hoping for soon introduction of GP support in multiecuscan. So when may I expect GP support, and how can I help you in implementing it? Maybe for now it would be possible to add at least partial support - just error codes reading without live data and tests.

As far as I know GP uses an ISO 15765-4 CAN (29 bit ID, 500 kbaud) protocol for generic EOBD diagnostics.

Also interested in Grande Punto support and happy to help with testing.

I have an ELM327 1.3 and have successfully connected to my Grande Punto with the free version of "easyobdii", you can download it from http://www.easyobdii.com/

Of course this only supports the basic error codes + limited "live dash" data, but doesn't have the Fiat specific options like resetting the service indicator etc.
