Particulate and Particle filter regeneration

I've downloaded the 2.3v and I found in adjustametements a new parameter for my Croma 1.9 Mtj 16v: particle filter

So now there are: "particle filter regeneration" but also the old one "particulate filter regeneration".

There are both of them...

But aren't them the same thing? Which are the differences?

Please read carefully. These are two different procedures:
1. Particulate Filter Replacement (only for version with DPF)
2. Particle Filter Regeneration (only for version with DPF)

The "replacement" procedure will also clear some counters (number of regenerations, number of incomplete regenerations, etc.) related to your DPF.

I remember that in v2.2 there was only one of them...

but are them the same thing? I mean, is the difference between them that "particulate replacment" only clears some parameters? Or not?
