Hello,
I’ve purchased a 2022 fiat 500 1.0 Mild Hybrid car which currently has fault ‘P1947-68 - Belt starter generator (BSG) disabled by crash event - Event information’
It cannot be cleared and only seems to exist in the ECM.
Has anyone come across this or can recommend a fix?

Re: Fiat 500 P1947-68 BSG Disabled
you need to reset crash event for BSG. it's not yet supported in MES.
I see AlfaOBD has option for it, also you should find it on diagnostic scanners like Launch, Topdon, Autel with latest software.

Thank you. I downloaded AlfaOBD but it doesn't seem to support that ECU, i'll maybe try and purchase the licence as it was in demo mode.
Is the crash data stored on the ECM or SRS Module? SRS module seems clean, no airbag lights or faults appear.

it should be under ECM, something like reset BSG crash event or something like that - can't miss it. or just borrow from someone Launch, Autel etc.
Re: Fiat 500 P1947-68 BSG Disabled
Just an update - This evening I’ve tried an up to date autel scanner which only seemed up cover up to 2019 fiat 500. I purchased the AlfaOBD licence which didn’t seem to support my ECM (Magneti Marelli IAW 11GF CF6D Injection ISO 00 01 50 01 21). It has the options to reset BSG but won’t commit the command unfortunately! It’s looking like it could be a trip to the dealer. Any other suggestions welcome.shpuncik wrote: ↑09 Oct 2023, 11:27it should be under ECM, something like reset BSG crash event or something like that - can't miss it. or just borrow from someone Launch, Autel etc.
