Abarth 595 Comp dead after proxy alignment.

So long story short I was trying to turn on carplay as I was really sure my unconnect 7" has it.

So after much messing around with parallels managed to get everything working and dived in.

I changed two numbers

Changed Byte 157 from 00 to 01 (Apple carplay) Apple CarPlay
and byte Byte 148 from 44 to 05

uploaded this and the display wouldn't turn on...

I then changed them back and had other issues, so found what i thought was a default setting in one of the boards here

Then ran into all sorts of problems where the file times out and wont upload, and now i have literally nothing on the key, and i can't even connect. that's the bit that worries mw as i don't see how i can even upload the original proxy from the log.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated

Sorry but you made a bad mistake.

Trying to run complex, USB / Blutooth hardware communications devices in Virtual Machines or Emulators is a very bad idea.

For MES you must (IMHO) boot your PC/Apple hardware DIRECTLY into Windows.

I suggest you get a proper *native* Windows directly in control of the hardware and start again. Note you will need to go throught the "transfer license" process and get your "removal key" so you can install again without have to go back to MES for assistance.

I will get a PROPER PC on mo day, and will try again

I am guessing my first option to try and reset back the default numbers on the log prior to the update.

Also, can anyone tell me what I *should* change to get CarPlay working ?

disconnect battery, leave it for 5-15 minutes, reconnect and proceed from there.
get your initial proxi from log and put it back.
