Ducato DPF Replacement on MES

Morning all,

We’ve replaced the dpf on my 2020 ducato 2.3 180bhp euro6d (with adblue)

Using mes 5.0 (just purchased licence for 5.1 last night and will try again today)

But when trying the replace dpf function, we get the Failed screen that vanishes after a second,

Have also tried a snap on and autel diag and get the same result on that.

Is it to do with the dpf Regen status always showing “Generic Error” ?
If so will a Regen reset that to ok then immediately try the replacement??

I only ask that as at previous regens I’ve noticed the generic error being ok or good or similar for a very short time.

I don’t fancy a forced Regeneration of a new dpf straight away but may try in a few hundred miles once it’s something to burn off

Can you or recommend an sgw (I assume it goes online in between the OBD and the Elm327 cable to obd??
