Uconnect dab activation possible?

Hi there,

I just bought a tipo with Uconnect 7.0 with tomtom navi and carplay.
It only doesn’t have DAB+.
Is is possible to retrofit this or does it only need activation?
Anyone who can help me, or do it for me in the netherlands?

radio needs to support DAB, have DAB connector at the back and car should have DAB wiring for aerial. check label on radio - it should say if it supports DAB or not

If the radio has a DAB connector on the back it can be activated. You can buy a genuine dab reciever from ebay or amazon.

When you want to activate the DAB function on the radio you have to change bit 123 to D5 and perform a proxy allignment.

Is that the only byte to be changed?

you can try to enable it and run proxi. from experience if radio doesn't support DAB it will fail proxi alignment.

as mentioned above it's activated in byte 123. set bit 2 to "1"
