MULTIPLA WON'T CONNECT TO ENGINE ECU

Post by shrewiside »

Hi all

i have a pre-facelift 2004 1.9 jtd 115 Multipla to connect to, and my switchable kkl adapter allows me access to airbag and abs ecu, but no response at all from the engine ecu?

i tried repeatedly scanning for the interface, testing it, high and low latency although i've never fully understood what i'm doing there, but no settings seem to make a difference.

should i be using a different cable perhaps?

please help....

Looking at the supported vehicles list here: http://www.multiecuscan.net/SupportedVehiclesList.aspx

I see that the 1.9 JTD has two options for the Engine ECU.

Bosch EDC15C7 CF3/EOBD
Bosch EDC16C39 CF4/EOBD

Have you selected the correct one and ALSO the correct Multipla. Also ensure the switch on your KKL interface is set to 7

Hi there, and thanks for the reply.

I finally got it connected last night. Almost wish i hadn't as its opened a right can of worms on the multipla but thats a different story! lol!

I downloaded fresh drivers for ftdi cable interface, and went through my port settings again, and it seems to have done the trick. I got in first time and stayed connected through many test drives and graphing sessions, so all appears to be good.

trouble is, ive never entirely known what i'm doing with the port settings, baud rates, latency etc

if i put up some screen shots of how its working now could someone perhaps confirm i have them set as they should be perhaps?

alternatively, if i'm going to use the software more and more, can you buy the multiplexed version interface on its own? I think its a whole lot better piece of kit than the vagcom/kkl cables etc?
