Hello

Crazymercano here is completely wrong
This is about Multiecuscan and italian cars

The case concerns only this combination

But not to Vauxhall cars and the software "Scanmyopel"
Therefore I have not responded.

So this

is my new ELM 327 Bluetooth gadget. I was trying to connect it to an Alfa Romeo 147 2002 make. Didn't work. The module connects to the laptop via bluetooth, but I can't get Multiscan to work. I want to disable a airbag warning that went off.

I've looked up the thread and found that with this kind of wiring I won't be able to get Multiscan working on my car. So... can anyone recommend the safest cheapest way for me to get Multiscan working with my car? I'm thinking of buying a new bluetooth module, but don't know how to make sure not to make the same mistake again. I'll go cable if that's safer, since I don't want to spend a big amount of money, buying the most expensive, although safest, module out there.

PS
It's a bad photo of the wiring, because I'm pretty sure it was suggested before that one can not mod this one to get Multiscan working on Alfa 147.

Thank you for any and all help.

hello

You have some things here read in Supported Vehicles.

Which ELM did you buy? a link or a picture would be good.

Is a v1.4 or v1.5 ELM you should not change, at least to your engine ECU can connect.

If this did not work, it is probably the missing or incorrect driver

Only for CAN bus protocols to read. the board needs to be changed in many ELM.

With an ELM interface you can never read your airbag control unit.
It'll take you a KKL interface, switchable or with red adapter

I bought ELM327 in a module that's in the picture in my first post. Red colored wiring.
I have no idea if it was 1.4 or 1.5, I bought it off the internet where I live from a guy who was selling it.
I downloaded the whole driver package, I didn't really get into the interface thing in the GUI (did read the user instructions though), I've just used scan for interface and it came up empty.

Since my main wish is to swicth off the air bag light, how do you reckon I do that?

That's what I problably need then! Any suggestion where to get one? KKL is cable, right? What are the other two? I really just want to find the simplest way to get my airbag light no to shine :)

Thank you for all your help!

Hello Anon

For your bag, buy this interface
In the switch position 3 you get the connection to the airbag

http://www.ebay.de/itm/321738798190?_tr ... T#shpCntId

But using the correct driver

Your engine control unit you can read on position 7

But for Service and Body so you need a ELM Interface

make of your ELM is a picture from the other side

Anon, I think you've bought a "Vgate Scan", and it will never work with MES, it's not an ELM interface :-(

hello

I've already written more times.
The white plug should be removed before making the image.

And an image or a link from the interface, so I know to what it is exactly
