FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello BR-scan
The usual question that must always be set.!
What car?
What year?
What control?
If you read any K-Line connection can not be located on this interface
but most of the drivers

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Thank you Alfaeddy,
I tried to connect to Alfa 156 2.0 with M1.5.5, k-line. I have another ELM327 that outside looks exactly like that and it connects without problem. I bought another 10 ELM327 and none of them connects!
So, its not a problem with drivers, right?
The inside of the interface which works and the ones that doesn't are different.

Hello BR-scan
However, the bridge resistor can not be the error.
Because of this resistor affects only the CAN bus protocol
and the Alfa 156 has no CAN bus
The 156 with the M1.5.5 I myself, in this model you can with the ELM also can read only the motor control and climate.
For ABS and airbag KKL is required.
But the interface 10 are broken I can not believe it.
Therefore, please send me times a link to the interface via PM
Greeting Eddy

Hello King Ra 2
The same question again
What car?
What year?
What control?
Greeting Eddy
Edit:
Your ELM has no bridge resistor, this would be the usual way to R4
But why is marked on your image before R4 with red frame ???????
This I do not understand?

Hi Frosty 984
Also this answer has already been answered several times.
The engine ecu of the Alfa 147 is not read past the CAN bus protocol
Thus, no resistor may be the problem.
but only settings or drivers
And since I do not believe that the software (MES) has been changed in any way
it can only be other errors.
At your Toyota you use other software, so it's also another problem
Greeting Eddy
Edit:
To control when read with a CAN bus at your Alfa 147 (body, service, CAN setup ...... your interface was described on page 155

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
The problem is that I cannot connect to my ecu at all via bluetooth over AlfaOBD, Torque, DashCommand etc. It connects to my adapter but not to the car (no response from ECU problem). When torque is trying to connect to the ecu, my instrument cluster has gone crazy, randomly turning on and off, car had hard time starting. My friend al Alfa forum in Croatia told me that he had a similar problem and he removed a resistor and everything was fixed. So I try to remove R34 and try to connect to my car?Alfaeddy wrote:Hi Frosty 984

Hello Frosty984
You may like to try and remove R34
for CAN bus protocols must be removed the.
But this is to read the EDC16 useless

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
No success. Seems like I'll have to order a different adapter. Any suggestions for EDC16 in the similar price range as this one?
