So I think in your case it is a faulty interface, unfortunately.

Hello Luigi

I'm interested whether a new interface
Get connections to your ECU allows ?? !!

And why you can not install a different driver for your interface ???
Can you explain this in more detail? :) :)

If I can answer that Chinese chipset (CH340) do not accept any other driver, but your own. I've even tried installing FTDI drivers on mine, but it is impossible.

Yes, Waltomatic has answered for me...is impossible to install for my interface another driver...this is a Windows basic rule...drivers can recognize only some specific Hardware ID.

In other word...I can install another driver but when I plug my interface this is not recognize from Windows.

Sorry but I think that there aren't any "more detail" about this...only that I can't USE (not that can't install) different driver than CH340 equipped in the mini CD with the interface.

But compare first with your interface :D

Hi alfaeddy.

Thank you very much for your help with my problem. I apologize for such a late reply but I had a friend that sorted this for me as you described and I had to post it to him and then he had to post it back to me again. Our local post office in South Africa had a 3 month strike but never the less I received the cable back from him and everything works perfectly.

However, I am now struggling with my Blue and me system on my Bravo. I have posted a new thread and I really hope someone can help me. Yes I have done my researched regarding this on the net and other forums but still nothing works not even removing the battery to reset the Blue and me. Anyway my topic is here:

Eddy....
"Update driver" can let me install only driver for CH340.
If i try to force install of FTDIBUS.inf or FDTIPORT.inf (drivers for Silicon Labs CP21xx), Windows return me that's this driver not contain information for the ID Hardware that i'm trying to update.
Please stop to suggest the solution to update the driver....this way is impossible with my interface.

Thank anyway.

Sometimes the interface test function return this result (note strange character in the response result).
Sometimes give more response command but, more than anything else, give only "The operation has timed out"
