Re: How to enable steering whell control on Body
Hi Romko
Sorry nobody has replied to this question yet.
The fiat Linea is a model I'm not familiar with as we do not have it here in the UK.
My first question is do other Linear models have as standard the steering wheel controls?
If yes then it is possible that the Body Computer in your model will support the retro fitted steering wheel.
Assuming that it does then a PROXI Alignment will be required.
MultiECUScan does support PROXI Alignment on the Fiat Linear however I can not say if when done that your retro fit steering wheel will function.
Hopefully someone else more experienced in retro fits and PROXI alignments will be able to offer more information.

Re: How to enable steering whell control on Body
s130,
thanks for the answer..
Yes , most Fiat Linea already have radio buttons ..
as far as I studied this question - I have the onboard computer similar to other models of Fiat and Alfa Romeo - just different firmware ..
I was been at the official dealer and we tried to do the procedure Proxi - but it did not help, -during Proxy BSI interrogates only the assigned CAN branches in the original firmware.
on my BSI CAN Info: Steering Whell Controls are Not Active ...
Activate buttons dealer can not, because they do not have the software and permissions

Re: How to enable steering whell control on Body
Hi Romko
I'm afraid that based on your reply I'm not experienced enough nor have access to MultiECUScan internal Proxi code operations to be able to say if MES can do anything your official Fiat dealer can not do.
I guess Yani / MultiECUScan Support are the only definitive authorities on your request/question.

Re: How to enable steering whell control on Body
Yani does not want to help me
if the problem is still in the Body-computer
I think it would be useful to implement this option in the new versions of Multiecuscan... - especially when there is а log of CAN Data both of cars

Re: How to enable steering whell control on Body
Here are some basic informations regarding BODY computer.
Data from BODY computer are stored in some chips and for reprogramming
those chips you need special programmer and software plus good experience...
Data on some chips can be programmed directly with ELM327 but only few of them.
All others can be only reprogrammed with special programmers.
So you need to copy data from BODY ECU which have other options you need to you BODY ECU but be careful not to damage security CODE for starting the car.
