Hello

Where is your diagnostic connector to the ECU to read?
I believe the engine ECU of the engine compartment to the passenger compartment to the wall
relatively centrally in the engine compartment

You must also use the respective diagnostic connector to the 3 pin adapter.

All older cars have 3 pin connector for diagnostic. Each ECU has their own connector.
So for example 3 pin engine ECU connector should be behind the engine, below the wind screen as Alfaeddy wrote.
Airbag 3 pin ECU connector is in general in glove box compartment, or in that passenger area (on some models in the dash).
And ABS 3 pin ECU connector is in general behind the battery, close to shock absorber.

Always keep in mind that when you connecting to 3 pin connector in general you need KKL 409 interface without modification and 3 pin cable.
