FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Scarab an Zivan
The same is true for both
Your ELM has no bridge resistor so I suspect a setting error
in software
Which vehicle you would like to read?
Can you read the other protocols? (depends on your car on)
Which driver did you use?
Greetings Eddy

I can connect to the engine fine, but nothing else (elm327 -> ecu connection failed) i'm trying it on a Punto from 2002 (Punto '99 1.2 8V in MES). I didn't use any driver, Windows 8 installed something itself.Alfaeddy wrote:Hello Scarab an Zivan

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hello Eddy and others,
I'm new here and I have a problem with the elm327 1.5. I have a Fiat Ducato 250 (2008). The only thing I can read with the ELM327 is Motor. ABS and Electric steering.
All others as below:
Airbag connection failed
gear-box connection failed
dashboard connection failed
boby: connection failed all cables
service: connection failed
I've tried every cable (yellow, green and red)
Hereby a picture of my circuit board. Mayby a have to do a modification. Thanks in advance.
Regards
Coen

Hi Coen
Remove the red marked resistor and you'll have the other controls can also read

Hello Scarab
STOP
Do not remove this yellow marked resistor
This is wrong, otherwise your interface is broken!!!!

Hallo Scarab
What car and what you want to control with Multiecuscan read??
Certainly no Mini Cooper
Your interface have not the bridge resistor does not produce this problem out CAN bus
Please write what vehicle you want to read me?
which then controls you can not read?
then you can read what controls?
Greetings Eddy

Hi Eddy,
You can respond in German if you want, I understand it very well.
I have a Grande Punto Abarth from 2008 and bought one of these (I think its v1.5):
I can connect to it via Bluetooth using Torque but the damn thing just won't connect to the ECU. The lights flash, it goes through all the CAN stuff but ends up saying that it can't connect to ECU because the adapter might be faulty or ignition isn't turned on.
I've removed resistor 121 (even though from reading this thread, this has nothing to do with a ECU issue) but no change...
Any ideas?
Cheers
