Hello,
i would like to have a Speed Limiter in my vehicle (fiat doblo 1.6 dpf multijet 100 HP 2010 ). There is already a speed limiter you can set, but it only warns you if the speed exceeds the set speedlimit (you can still drive faster than the set speed).
So i would like to set a maximum speed in the ecu or wherever, so you can´t get above a defined max speed (i hope you understand what i mean). Is this possible at all? I´ve read it somewhere but could´nt find that again.

no - i mean a programming of a max speed (for example if your children make a drivers license they possibly drive fast - and you as a parent don´t want them to drive so fast => so you can set a max speed in vehicle over the ecu or something like that, which makes it impossible for them to exceed the set speed although they are pressing the throttle or gas pedal to the fullest )alfa156sarajevo wrote:Do you mean somthing like cruise control (tempomat)?
or another example is: you have heavy cargo and a bad driver - so you set a max speed in the ecu or so and then although he wants to drive fast he can´t , because the max speed is reduced e.g. from 190 to 100 km/h or so)
in a german document (fahrzeugschein) of a car it is the "T" - "Hoechstgeschwindigkeit in km/h" or "Max. Speed the vehicle can drive in km/h"
And this max. speed i want to reduce from 190 to e.g. 100 - in clear words: if you are in the 5th gear and press the gas you won´t be able to drive faster than 100 km/h until you reset it with the computer.
Re: V-Max Limiter
just teach your kids/co-worker to driver safely
Kidding..
it's not possible...
IF the ecu has that function, you can modify that value only with a programmer.
MultiEcuScan, and in particular the devices it supports, can't write directly on the eeprom or whatever the memory the ecu uses.
This is a software for diagnose only.
