C1007?

hi, just got the code C1007 from my punto. was trying to diagnose power steering failure and this code does say its the motor. although I have read elsewhere that its the actuator?

but my confusion is that this is a very common fault in puntos and yet i have been unable to view any information on this particular fault code. no lists recognise it and i have searched for it here with no luck, which you wouldnt expect for such a common problem?

any ideas at all would be gratefully received.

This error C1007 means that you have problem with your electromotor of your power steering...

I am repairing city servo system on Puntos 2nd and 3rd generation since past 8-9 months...
From my experience you have problem with relays on your electromotor.
To cut the long story short you need to replace relays on your electromotor.
