I suspect a Dealer Only or and independent garage that has access to Fiat service systems can get and do the update.

Some systems have been know to overheat and lockup etc.

You could have an overheat issue.

You could try removing the out bezel and sliding the unit out a little to give it more air.

Does it still blackout / lockup?

New to MES ISO codes are not uncommon. Sometimes the ISO code can be used/found on a different vehicle supported by MES. Other times it is an ISO code that is new to MES.

Suggest you send MES Support the relevant info for your ZF module.
