It has steering angle sensor fault showing so I need to get connected somehow could it be able he elm? I am now not sure what ...

Hi I am new on here and on multiecuscan (registered) .I have an elm 327 interface and the coloured adapter plugs, all works well with either elm alone or with yellow adaper cable until I try connecting to the Delphi steering and I get no connection check lead message.
