Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
I have an ELM 327 that works fine in engine mode (reading from 7 pin) but I want to modify it so I can read ABS/AIRBAG and everything else. My car is 156 so no CAN here. Can someone confirm the following: ABS - pin 1/7/9/12 connected through the switch where 7 originally was connected AIRBAG - pin 3...

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
OK, thanks AlfaEddy, I will use a switch to conect the correct pins to serial converter
I dig now the modification, for CAN vehicles you remove the termination resistor (120ohms) and the signals pass through to ELM-type chip. Neat.

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hi Eddy, I don't have connection problems, I understood that if you remove some resistor you may be able to read all ECUs (ABS, engine, Airbag, climate etc). That's why I am asking Would it be better to use a switch and connect all the pins as described on the diagrams on multiecuscan? 7 for engine,...

What should I remove from this ELM to have acces to ABS and everything else (besides the ENGINE)? Is that the resitor, between the CAN lines? Thank you.

Where do you install the FTDI driver? Update driver for the Port (Serial to Bluetooth etc)?

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
I bought an ELM Bluetooth interface and I can't seem to get it to work. I get the CONNECTION TIMEOUT message when I try to connect to engine ECU. If I test the interface with MES I get the following response: COMMAND: ATZ RESPONSE: ELM327 v2.1 > COMMAND: ATI RESPONSE: ATI ELM327 v2.1 > COMMAND: ATE0...
