Re: PROXI alignment disabled my car
Well, mine is not of their kind. It interrupts CAN communication to the Engine Control Unit even if it is connected to the USB ... that's why the Multiecuscan removed the Engine Control Unit in PROXI alignment - because it could not establish communication with it. Also, in my case, there are no err...

Re: PROXI alignment disabled my car
Well, I'm a computer engineer and I work with vehicle diagnostics daily, but I don't have a lot of experience (or tools) for Fiat vehicles, but I did get to the bottom of the problem relatively quickly. I was kinda freaked out in the first place, because I thought I'd have to manually reprogram all ...

Re: PROXI alignment disabled my car
Just wanted to post an update to this thread. Actually, the ELM327 interface is to blame. I removed resistor from it the enable CAN communication, which I then successfully established. However, the connection was very poor (unstable) and multiecuscan would not let me do PROXI alignment due to unsta...

PROXI alignment disabled my car
Hi! I tried to do PROXI alignment on my car - FIAT Punto 1.2 8V, make year 2005. PROXI alignment was successful, but now my car won't start anymore. It removed Engine Control Node, so now even Check Engine light does not come ON when I put ignition ON. What can I do? Reading CAN configuration data ....

Re: FAULTY ELM 327 INTERFACES DE-MYSTIFIED (READ HERE)
Hi! I have an interface like this: http://data-flow.org.uk/IMG/STILO/elm327.jpg After removing resistor R4, interface connects to CAN, but the connection is very unreliable, missing data and even completely dropping. I also cannot do PROXI alignment. Will fix with resistors and capacitors from post ...

Re: Why is separate K-line interface needed?
On signal level it is all serial data with different baud rates. Although Fiat has its own mind about the timings... The difference is in the data and data frames which are sent/received between the interface and the car. The ELM interface does NOT support the Fiat protocols, and Fiat uses many dif...

Re: Why is separate K-line interface needed?
Fiat protocols?
There are no Fiat protocols on signal level ... only on higher (application) levels ... So I don't understand your explanation.

Why is separate K-line interface needed?
Hello!
This question is mostly for developers ... why does Multiecuscan need separate K-line interface, since ELM327 supports BOTH K-line protocols (ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4)? I really don't understand it. Thanks for the answer!
