Re: Alfa 156 - P1619
Hi, seems, as the previous problem, a side effect of a poor +12 V connectivity. The difference is that this time, MES won"t disconnect, because the voltage drops a little bit higher, I guess. Cleaning the relays once more, and all +12V connectors brought me, again a steady 13.9-14.0 V at the EC...

Alfa 156 - P1619
Hi Since a couple of days I have a P1619 light on after a rough or missed start. In the past I had very difficult starts due to relay dirtiness (ECU voltage was 1.5 below battery and very unstable). Since then no problems...until these couple of days. The P1619 is a general ECU failure but cannot se...

Re: Suddenly MES stops logging after a couple of seconds
Voltage, seen by MES at the ECU was ranging from 12.5 to 13.4V when engine as idle (changing every half second or so). When measures at the battery, it is 14-14.2 steady. But today I made a cleanup of all positive power supplies (ECU relay, Fuel pump Relay, ECU Fuse) and I got a rather steady and hi...

Re: Suddenly MES stops logging after a couple of seconds
Even with a new battery......
The voltage is considerably lower than the Battery.
When it stops, it drops to 8V... with a brand new battery (even exhausted by my troubleshootings).
Would this be an expected behaviour ?

Re: Suddenly MES stops logging after a couple of seconds
I managed, after 3 or 4 battery charge and 10 minutes of trying to start it.
WHen started it runs very smoothly, no problems whatsoever....and MES is running fine when engine is up....
At least the ECU isnt gone

Re: Suddenly MES stops logging after a couple of seconds
I tried a not so fresh battery (4 yo) and voltage drops at 10 V while (not) starting, .... but MES drops as well as with the previous battery.
Will buy a new one, but I'm not that sure it comes from a low voltage...

Suddenly MES stops logging after a couple of seconds
Hi, I'm using MES to debug my non starting 156 2.4 jtdm. I wanted to check some signals (EGR signal, FUel pressure and obviously RPM) When idle the monitor is fine. When I try to start, after 2 seconds the log stops totally (my RPM is still at 250 rpm). I know the voltage of my battery is severely d...

Re: Alfa 156 Xenon full-MES Support
Hi, thanks you were right : bare (without interposer) for the ECU green (A1) for Xenon, Climate and ABS red (A2) for airbags Oddly, when I scan with the green I only get the right Xenon, while I can connect to both. But as I stated, this may be related to the fact my left Xenon is not working... Als...

Alfa 156 Xenon full-MES Support
Hi I used a trial version of MES (4.2) to connect to my 156's OEM Xenon (Bosch AL). Using the VAGCOM KKL and the yellow plug , the scan could find one ECU , but I can connect to both, even in Trial mode. Both have proper codes and mfg dates so definitely not random values. On both screens, in trial ...
