Cable led light is lighting up so think I'll need to get hold of another laptop to try!

hmm, for some reason it's not connecting to any choice i make from the list! any idea why this could be?

Just wondering, if i buy the cable and don't do anything at all to it (connecting pins 1,3,7,9) will i be able to read anything at all from my car? if not, is the work on the cable able to be done at somewhere like maplins or somewhere cause i'm not the most expirienced at doing that sort of thing. ...

i have a stilo 1.6.
just got my cable through and will be downloading the software at the weekend and trying it out.

looking through everything i was just wondering, was does connecting to the pin 3 actually allow you to do with this software???
