Got to the bottom of it in the end, the units should be set to Kilometers in the dash menu, then Multiecuscan will reset the 'distance to service to 0' then set the units back to miles.

Re: Alfa GT Service reset
Have you strapped the pins up? You need to perform the same modification as described for the KKL cable to access the various ECUs.

Has something changed...? The version 2.2 I have requires registration for the service reset.

Re: Alfa GT Service reset
If you can find a copy of Version 2.1 the unregistered version supports the service reset feature. It is only since version 2.2 you need to register to use the feature.

Re: Alfa GT Service reset
Very strange. It's coming up to 60,000 miles and has only had 3 service resets, my Independent garage was unable to reset it at the 48,000 service using his machine.
It's not that important as there are no reminders on the display, but it would be nice to reset it.

Re: Alfa GT Service reset
Yani
I see you've removed the Service Reset feature from the free version in the latest release 2.2, so I have returned to ver 2.1
Sadly I'm still unable to reset the service using version 2.1, have you had any more thoughts on why this might be so?

Re: Alfa GT Service reset
Hi Hoe (must resist the temptation to follow that up with 'it's off to work we go') No, sadly still no luck, still reads 0 mi to next service. Curiously I get no indication on the dash when starting the car that the service is due. Did you reset yours with the engine running or just with the ignitio...

Alfa GT Service reset
Hi I've connected successfully to the ECU via ELM3271.3a, the service reset option gave me the warning about reading the notes, press 'Y' to continue 'N'' to abort. After pressing 'Y' and a short pause the message 'completed' pops up. However the 'distance to next service' on the dashboard display s...

Alfa GT Service reset requires ELM327 connection
Hi there I'm connected via a K-Line/VagCom interface and when trying to use the new Service Reset feature of Multiecuscan V2.1 it gives a connection error saying it needs a ELM327 connection. The 'How To Use' page does not say any other sort of cable is needed other than the K-Line cable, am I doing...
