It turn out there was no play in the column, but in the steering rack. so build the original steering column back in and now have the asr/esp failure, that ...

Hello, After building in my steering column i have a asr/esp fault. The fault appears when i turn the steering wheel( even when standing still) Now i think i just need to calibrate the steering angle sensor. but when i execute the calibration FES says status: unknown and stops. What am i doing wrong...
