I downloaded fresh drivers for ftdi cable interface, and went through my port settings again, and it seems to have done...

Hi all i have a pre-facelift 2004 1.9 jtd 115 Multipla to connect to, and my switchable kkl adapter allows me access to airbag and abs ecu, but no response at all from the engine ecu? i tried repeatedly scanning for the interface, testing it, high and low latency although i've never fully understood...

i know the body ecu can be supplied new from the factory, pre-programmed from the vin info so that it is plug n play with the engine ecu and key transponders, but as you might expect this is a lot of money, and comes from italy too i'm told, so its not a quick fix either! i believe most folk go with...

as title suggests, my new laptop, which has Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS, won't support my cable, so FES is currently unavailable for me!!!

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the correct cable and/or driver i need to get up and running again please?

I believe it is a KKl cable

it says OBD 2 on it, and i use it for my 156/147 stuff all the time.

It is modded to connect to abs and airbag ecus, by connecting those pins to the K Line, another reason for me to assume it a KKL

would i be right in assuming that?
